Grogg’s Heating and Air Conditioning was founded in 1970 by Leon B. Grogg. He spent many years serving the people of the Parkersburg area. The company began as a part-time venture but quickly became a full-time business. He loved his business and he loved serving his customers. He took great pride in the fact that he honored his customers.
Therefore, we have many loyal customers who have been treated with great respect throughout the years. That is still our number one goal. Without you, we would not be in business.
Leon’s daughter and her husband, Carma and Tim Hanlon, who purchased the company in 1996, are no strangers to the business. Carma grew up in the heating and air conditioning business working closely with her father for numerous years. Leon also had the opportunity to train Tim in all aspects of the business. They continue to build upon Leon’s legacy by simply doing their best to take care of their customers.
In July, 2004, Grogg’s Heating & Air Conditioning became Grogg’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. at which time they had eight employees. In September of 2005, Grogg’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc. opened a
Clarksburg Branch to serve North Central West Virginia. Leon’s grandson, R. Keith Blair, is the Branch Manager of this operation. While attending college, Keith worked at Grogg’s during the summer months. Following graduation, he continued his career at Grogg’s and currently manages 10 employees at the Clarksburg branch.
We are proud to have acquired three successful HVAC businesses since January 2007: Fred Grogg Heating & Air Conditioning (Belpre, OH), Parkersburg Plumbing & Heating (Vienna, WV), and Jencor Mechanical (Bridgeport, WV). We welcome everyone to the Grogg’s family.
We currently have approximately 40-45 employees who are dedicated to providing you with unbeatable service and customer care. We would like to add you to our long list of satisfied customers. We believe you will be happy to have a company that puts you first. If you are already a customer, we would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you”. You have made us what we are today.
